Dr. Michael Zillner (Founder of Merit)

is founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Merit Commodities Group. Dr. Zillner studied economics and philosophy and is a regular author in international publications. In 1988 he founded the Merit-Group. Since then he has led the Group’s development and expansion in commodity risk management and quantitative modelling. He is also a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Dr. Zillner is the head Risk Manager of the Group and plays a very active role in overseeing projects for the Group’s clients.

Andreas Jeschko (Managing Director Merit Performance Concepts)

is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Merit Performance Concepts and responsible for structuring of financial products and international business development in the Group. He has 25 years of experience in commodities, managed futures and financial engineering. After graduating in 1985, Mr. Jeschko began his career at Centro Internationale Handelsbank AG (now Raiffeisen Centrobank), a private international merchant bank, where he successfully set up the bank‘s international metal trading division in Vienna and New York. In 1991, he founded the Benchmark Group, a company specializing in managed futures and hedge fund of funds. In 2009 he joined the Merit Group.

Kenneth Mousu’ (Managing Director Merit Performance Concepts)

is Managing Director and CFO of Merit Performance Concepts. His responsibilities include financial control, administration and controlling of mandates and funds in financial services as well as fund structuring. Kenneth Mousu‘ holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in accountancy from the University of Malta. Mr. Mousu’ began his career with Deloitte & Touche in Malta where he served as team audit manager for investment services companies. From the end of 2002 to the end of 2008 Mr. Mousu’ was Chief Financial Officer of the Benchmark Group, a firm specializing in the management and structuring of alternative investment products. Mr. Mousu' has joined the Merit-Group in 2009.
